Depaul vs Mercer
from Blue Demon Banter Hosted by Joey Pollizze
DePaul University basketball is 3-0 Rally up all the fans because this is great. We have tied our wins from last season. It was a great win all around. Our team played perfect. Getting off to a hot start from three, facilitating for our players, and forcing turnovers. Connor Enright drew four fouls on Mercer guard for charges, C.J. Gunn came to play against Mercer. Cj Gunn will be the highlight of the bench for this season because of his ability to shot creation. He was able to get transition baskets, and score from the mid range. David Skogman played the best he could from the paint. I love how aggressive he was. That aggression found the bench because N.J Benson and JJ Traynor found points in the paint. Second half we started flat. We didn't grab the 50/50 balls, we weren't attacking as much, and Mercer started to catch rhythm. Now, I hope we can nip those problems away and create good habits off those. Going into the " serious " part of our schedule we can't afford that. We're playing a Duquesne team that went to the tournament last year. Yes, they're having a slow start to the season, but still a tough battle we have up next. Let's surpass our win total from last year. 4-0 babyyy !! Follow @wearedepaul on Instagram and Twitter! Also, grab yourself a smart water anytime your thirsty.
