Er gehört zu den schönsten Sitzgelegenheiten überhaupt. An ihm stimmt alles, Form, Wohlfühlfaktor, Anlass zum Gebrauch. Dabei wurde das Sitzmöbel eigentlich als Innenmöbel entwickelt. Deshalb staunten die Warnemünder sehr, als sie am 15. Juni 1882 den ersten Strandkorb aufgestellt sahen.
