"Derbies are special games" - Solinas

from Soccer · host SABC Sport

Kaizer Chiefs mentor Giovanni Solinas says derbies all around the world are special events and the Soweto derby is no different. The Italian born gaffer will face Amakhosi 's biggest foes Orlando Pirates for the first time this Saturday and says he is aware that this is undoubtedly the biggest fixture on domestic football calendar, even going as far as terming it "a football party". The two giants will clash at FNB Stadium in what will be their 164th meeting since their maiden one back in 1970. Kick-off is at 3:30pm.
