The legacy of Derek and Shelaine Maxfield begins with a promise and a vision. For Derek, it was a vow to a dying friend that his life would be used for something great. For Shelaine, it was the recognition of how profoundly child sexual abuse impacts survivors. Together, they founded Saprea, a nonprofit dedicated to providing free healing services and prevention education. Shelaine and Derek Maxfield established the Maxfield Family Foundation to extend their philanthropic reach and serve others around the globe.
