In Barcelona 1992, Derek Redmond had the opportunity to make up for his disappointment in Seoul 1988, where he failed to start the race due to injury. Everything looked good as Redmond trotted through the qualification stage to get into the Semi-Final. After he rocketed out of the blocks Redmond looked like this was his time to shine. A cruel twist and an intervention from a spectator led to one of the most iconic moments in Olympic history.
