Derrick White’s New Role in Boulder | Colorado Buffaloes Basketball News

Derrick White, Boston Celtics guard and Colorado alum, is taking on a new leadership role as president of basketball strategy for the Colorado Buffaloes — blending his NBA success with deep ties to his college roots. After throwing out the first pitch in a Rockies game while rocking a Kyle Freeland jersey, White’s commitment to the Buffaloes runs deeper than just nostalgia. He credits the University of Colorado and coach Tad Boyle for inspiring this move, even as the program navigates roster changes and welcomes three promising three-star transfers. With his NBA career entering its tenth season and a championship under his belt, White is proving his passion for basketball extends far beyond the court.
