Des and Gia Taking Action to Highlight NEPA
from Uncorked with Funny Wine Girl · host Jeannine Luby
You've heard me say it more than once. I enjoy living in northeast PA and find joy in the nature, art and community here. This week on my show, I talk with two area women who are helping to highlight assets of our region as well. Gia Tugend, director of the Waverly Community House and Desiree Zielinski, graphic artist and NEPA Film Fest committee member talk with me about the amazing history of our region, activities and events taking place at the Waverly Comm and about the upcoming NEPA Film Festival, in its 10th year. The festival will feature a variety of films from comedy to drama to horror and more. It also features the work of many local filmmakers. Purchase tickets at the festival's website or at the door. Opening reception is April 10 with films being shown on April 11 and 12. A big "thank you" goes out to my podcast sponsors Reinvented Threads with Gabby Lynn and Healthy Lifestyle Management with Lisa Rigau for their generosity and support of this podcast.
