DeSantis Challenges GOP Debate Rules

Governor Ron DeSantis is slamming the Florida GOP for planning a gubernatorial debate that excludes most candidates—including himself—by setting rigid polling and fundraising thresholds. Only Rep. Byron Donalds qualifies, sparking accusations of rigged rules and stifling competition. While Donalds’ team says they’re not obligated to support underperforming campaigns, rivals like Lt. Jay Collins call it a dodge. Meanwhile, James Fishback—who made inflammatory remarks about Donalds—was kicked out of the party’s big event over racist and antisemitic comments, but vows to hold his own rally and outdraw them. The GOP’s internal fractures are on full display as they gear up for their major convention. Support the show: Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
