Descend into Greatness

This is the first message of our series, "If You Wanna Go Up, You've Gotta Go Down". If we want true greatness in our own lives, if we want to leave light behind us—and step into greatness forever—the way is down. Wait. What?! In our world, UP is a big deal.  When we’re little, we can’t wait till we grow up.  We want the value of our home to go UP.  We want our career to move up and to the right.  We want our investments to go up.  Bloggers and Instagramers want the numbers of followers to go UP. Jesus started building this new country, new nation, new thing... almost 2000 years ago. It’s an upside down kingdom. It’s where the Son of God, Himself, in an unparalleled slide from Eternity, the presence of God, unimaginable greatness, power, worship and knowledge–stepped into a human body– and died the most humiliating death possible–to serve US! God’s way of doing things is not the way we do things. Do you want to be great? Forever? There is no other way.
