Design Cast - Episode #27 - Ashton Simmonds - Designer to Educator

from Design Cast · host Jason Reagin

In this episode of Design Cast I sit down with Mr. Ashton Simmonds.  He is Australian and currently works as an MYP Design teacher in Japan.  Designer by trade, Ashton later discovered that he enjoyed teaching.  Like so many of my guests, he started down one path and somewhere along the way switched over to teaching Design.  We talk about his school, students and projects he is working on.  Two points of interest to look out for are the way he is able to try out high-end 3D printers and the project he is wanting to do with bicycles! So be on the lookout for that! As always, if you are enjoying this podcast, please rate it, leave a comment or review and subscribe!  Also, please share this podcast with colleagues and others in your professional network that might like to hear it.  Finally, reach out on all the major social media platforms to me if you have an episode idea or if you would like to appear as a guest!
