Cloud transformation is not a technology strategy, it is an operating model strategy enabled by technology. The organizations that succeed are not the ones with the flashiest platform demonstrations, they are the ones that make disciplined decisions about how they want to operate before technology implementation begins. The cloud platform should support your operating model, not define it. If leadership fails to design the organization of the future first, the implementation eventually becomes a very expensive exercise in organizational confusion.
