DESPERATION. Is it a gift?

Welcome to Into The Mirror! Season 2. Episode 9. Today we bring up the gift of desperation and what that actually means. In recovery communities we hear this saying a lot. When I first begin my attempt to get clean I was told again and again by anyone that is halfway successful that learning to see the gift of desperation was paramount. Now I have learned to claim that thing as soon as you see it. When it happened to me to finally, to be quite frank it was very scary. When is your mind and heart going to decide it has had enough of the garbage? Are you ready to shed the false ideas of others and find what really is yours and what you're really capable of? I know this might sound crazy but what I share here is extremely sacred to me now. My awakening was sudden and I was in a total manic and psychotic state of mind but it was the beginning of true healing. It was a long time coming and I didn't have to have such an extreme polarity of light and dark in my story. What I mean is with a little courage and patience I know others can get better before the near death experiences and prison. So we send courage to everyone in need. Thanks for listening guys! it's growing :). PS- What do you believe courage is?
