Hey everyone, welcome to Marth Therapy, I'm Robin and today I want to talk about Destiny for a minute. Destiny vs. Free Choice, so I've had this point of view for a while now and I haven't been able to find points against it and it's that I don't see why the debate between Destiny and Free Choice matters and here's why I fundamentally, I'm in my bed right now. If I decide to step out of my bed, that's a choice.

If I decide to remain in my bed, that's a choice. Or I can also decide that I do that. I start, I set up on my bed to get down and then I change my mind and get back in. So I did that.

From moment to moment, I made choices where I set up in my bed and then I went back in. I made a series of individual choices that I will never be able to change. I can change my mind and after making certain choices, make other ones like I make the choice of getting out of my bed so I make the choice of standing up and then I make the choice of getting back in my bed. But the point is, whether I made a choice, I believe I made a choice, but that choice, I will never be able to change and from moment to moment, that I can only exist one choice.

We make choices every single day and from moment to moment, we only experience choice after choice, after choice, after choice, after choice. My point is, if we are only going to experience one way that life can be, whether it's choice or not, we are only going to experience life as one interpretation or as one like track. We'll never be able to deviate, we'll never be able to change our present choices like presence doesn't, just moment to moment. So why does it matter if it's destiny or if it's choice?

Either way, maybe I don't understand the two concepts extremely well, but to me, whether it's predetermined, whether my life is predetermined or not, it doesn't matter because in the end, it's only one life, one way that life can work, that's all I'm going to experience. So whether something knows how I'm going to be when I'm 70, why does it matter? I'm still only going to be able to get there. I mean, I'm still going to make choices that will keep me on one track of what life can be.

So if I'm going to stay, if I'm going to be only experiencing one track of what life can be, why does it matter if it's predetermined or we're making absolute free choice? I just, I don't understand it and I want to understand it. Alright, thank you for listening and have a great day.
