Detroit Pistons 2026-27 Schedule News: Preseason & Celtics Opening Week Matchup

The Detroit Pistons’ 2026-27 schedule is starting to take shape, and we break down all the latest schedule news on today’s episode of Pistons Talk. Detroit will open preseason action on October 5 against the Phoenix Suns at home, followed by an October 16 matchup against the Toronto Raptors. We also discuss the NBA’s opening-week schedule, including the Pistons’ matchup against the Boston Celtics at 3 PM, and why that game is being played earlier in the day with a concert scheduled for later that night. We also take a look around the rest of the NBA opening-week slate and what stands out heading into the 2026-27 season. To close out the podcast, we react to comments from The Hoop Collective regarding Jalen Duren and the possibility that multiple teams around the NBA could show interest if the Pistons ever became open to a sign-and-trade.
