As Sir Winston Churchill once said of democracy, 'Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or allwise. Indeed it has been said that democracy is the worst form of Government except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.… ‘ and as Mark Twain would quip, ‘If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it.’ Suffice to state that the Bible is not democratic. Moses has not been freely elected and his successor Joshua will not be subject to a mandate of the masses.
