Contemporary drug therapy for HCV has allowed reconsideration of this status quo, and offers potential for GPs to initiate HCV treatment in primary care. This study provides a way forward, detailing a practicable theory-informed pathway and recommendations for primary care-initiated HCV treatment in the UK.
