Developing & Committing to a Succession Plan
from Happy, Healing, and Highered Hosted by Happy, Healing, & Highered Podcast
Succession planning is defined as the process of identifying the critical positions within your organization and developing action plans for individuals to assume those positions. In this episode, we're going to explore succession planning at a personal level without considering the commitment to a single organization. Your career success is contingent upon proper assessment of your skills, planning, and research dedicated to understanding the requirements of where you'd like to go. The foundation of this is career mapping, a concept that many have not had the pleasure of taking advantage of--we go through it here. Career mapping alone can save you boatloads of money and time when done accurately. In addition to laying the foundation, there are two other elements that allow you to develop a solid succession plan for your career that you will actually commit to and see through. Take a listen!
