Developing the Courage to Speak Up | Leveraging Your Voice on Concerns & Issues that Matter to You
from Support, Protect, Empower - The Project Purpose Podcast · host Rachelle Innocent
Developing the Courage to Speak Up | Leveraging Your Voice on Concerns & Issues that Matter to You Many of us shut ourselves down before anyone else has the opportunity to criticize us. We are in effect, our own worse critic and discount the contribution we stand to make on conversations that require a diversity of perspectives. There are many global issues take place that require all of us to stand up for what we think is fair, regardless of how inconvenient it is for those who'd rather not defend themselves or justify their actions. We need to speak up, because it is often the case that silence enables violence of all forms. Whether we're talking about discrimination, prejudice, social injustice, and worse - our opinions are best suited for the public arena. Even if we do not have points, we can vocalize our questions. Recognize that are actions and inactions are continuously writing pages in history, let's not be the reason why history repeats itself. Any questions?
