Devoted: When You Don’t Feel Like Reading the Bible

What do you do when you don’t feel like reading the Bible? You know it’s true. You know it matters. And yet… sometimes it’s confusing, overwhelming, or even convicting in ways you’d rather avoid. If that’s ever been you, you’re not alone — and this message is for you. In this second week of our Being the Church series, we look at the early Church’s devotion to the apostles’ teaching (Acts 2:42) and why staying rooted in God’s Word is essential, even when it’s difficult. From honest struggles to powerful encouragement, you’ll learn: • Why we resist reading the Bible even when we believe it • What Billy Graham did when he couldn’t make sense of it all • How God uses His Word to shape our identity and direction • Why devotion isn’t about feelings — it’s about faith and formation Key Verse: Acts 2:42 — “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching…” Subscribe for weekly teachings and encouragement. 💬 Let us know in the comments: What helps you stay in the Word when it’s hard? 👥 Share this with someone who’s struggling in their faith walk.📲 Stay connected with Innovate Church by downloading our app: https://innovateccc.com/app Download this week's 5 Day Study Guide: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1t3cus-aszcFlVqB3ng4PlugHusjtJx0EV7uwWvNSKU4/edit?usp=sharing Download this week's Small Group Discussion Guide:https://docs.google.com/document/d/14jFFj9LdTBfCklf7ZpwvZrFG0Q8JtydOJaAC9qAkxQY/edit?usp=sharing Help us build a better Innovate Church and serve more people.
