Devoting Ourselves to Prayer

In this sermon, we explored what it truly means to devote ourselves to prayer, guided by Jesus’ teaching to His disciples in Matthew 6 and 7. Jesus not only gave the model of prayer in the Lord’s Prayer, showing us how to honor God, seek His Kingdom, and depend on Him for our daily needs, but He also encouraged persistence in prayer through the parable of the friend at midnight. We learned that prayer is both intimate and powerful—a way to draw near to our Father, receive His guidance, and experience His provision. Through consistent, faithful prayer, we can align our hearts with God’s will, trust His goodness, and persevere with confidence that He hears us and responds.
