Devotional 73 - The Comfort of My Soul
from Free Range Preacher on Prayer · host Fred
Isaiah 12:1-2 1 Then you will say on that day, “I will give thanks to Thee, O LORD; For although Thou wast angry with me, Thine anger is turned away, And Thou dost comfort me. 2“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid: For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.” In our struggle against sin, it is a comfort that this is the day of our salvation, and He is faithful to accomplish all things for us. He is the author and protector of our faith, and what He began, He will accomplish. Even when our sins are weighing us down, we do not save ourselves. His purpose brings us to our rest. We believe and follow our Good Shepherd, who supplies all. He is our salvation and song. And since He bids me seek His face, Believe His Word and trust His grace, I'll cast on Him my every care, And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!"
