Deya Dova: The Sacred Voice
from The Jen Mavros Show
In Episode #60 on The Jen Mavros Show we sit down with literally one of my favorite conscious artists, EVER... thee AMAZING, DEYA DOVA. For the first time ever on the show, we've created sacred space for a musician and artist to share and present their divine gifts. What a treat! An artist of multi-dimensions, Deya writes, records and produces all of her intricate vocal work as well as designing her exquisite costuming and visionary album artwork. Joined with her husband, Hamilton Barnett we learn the behind the scenes of this magical duo. Deya Dova fuses the earthy human-ness and sensual power of her voice with the cutting edge futurism of Global Bass music. Hailing from the expansive Nullarbor desert in Australia and currently based in the Byron Bay area she is one of the few female electronic producers and a ground breaking vocalist recording live at sacred sites. Highly innovative and an evolutionary visionary artist in the truest sense, Deya Dova's live shows are a sophisticated musical and visual feast. Performing with co producer, Hamilton Barnett, blending live electronics, organic percussion, vocal looping and guest ritual performance artists, Deya Dova weaves a conscious elevated dance floor experience infused with the sacred radiance of feminine power. I wanted to get up and dance and when you hear Deya Dova, I'm sure you will too. ENJOY!! **Songs played in episode are from the Myth of the Cave album: 1. Footsteps In The Stars - Album: Symbiotic 2.
