Eef Stiekema fractievoorzitter voor de VVD is de gast in de Special van het programma Daar Hou ik U Aan. In het gesprek met Eef komen vier onderwerpen aanbod die Eef na aan het hart liggen: Zijn geboortegrond Het Hoogeland in Noord-Groningen waar hij met zes broers en zussen opgroeide als vierde kind. Zijn ouders hadden een tuinbouwbedrijf. Doorzettingsvermogen was een belangrijke eigenschap die hij daar geleerd heeft. Eef is afgestudeerd in Bedrijfskunde via diverse opleidingen en cursussen daaraan voorafgaande. Door een baan bij Vrumona in Bunnik is Eef in Houten gaan wonen in 2002. Dit bedrijf was een onderdeel van Heineken waar hij nu alweer vele jaren werkzaam is als leidinggevende. Met elkaar resultaten behalen is zijn motto. Voetbal is een belangrijke hobby en Feyenoord en vv ’t Goy zijn favorieten. Eef heeft bij ‘t Goy o.a. keeperstraining gegeven aan de jeugd en jeugdelftallen begeleid. In 2006 is Eef in aanraking gekomen met de Houtense politiek. Hij stamt uit een KVP/ CDA gezin maar was al vroeg geïnteresseerd in de VVD. Ook voor de politiek geldt zijn drijfveer: Niet schreeuwen langs de zijlijn, maar mouwen opstropen en meehelpen.
