DHL is natuurlijk de trotse partner van vijf verschillende vrouwensporten en in deze speciale serie hebben wij van iedere sport een keer iemand te gast! We gaan ons verdiepen in die ene specifieke droom: De Olympische Droom. Deze aflevering reizen we naar Olympisch trainingscentrum Papendal en gaan we op bezoek bij handbalster Loïs Abbingh.Loïs scoorde tijdens het WK in 2019 de beslissende goal in de laatste seconde van de finale en bezorgde Nederland de wereldtitel. Tevens werd ze dat toernooi ook topscoorder met maarliefst 71 doelpunten! Deze powerhouse is niet alleen in het Nederlands team belangrijk, maar heeft ook in verschillende buitenlandse competities al negen keer een landskampioenschap gepakt. Toch mist er nog die ene titel: de Champions League. Gaat die er nog komen?In 2022 is haar zoontje Lev geboren en sindsdien is ze haar topsportleven anders gaan invullen. Het hele gezin gaat waar Loïs gaat. Toch zijn wij volleybalsters altijd behoorlijk onder de indruk van de ruwheid van de handbalsport. Hoe was dat voor Loïs na de bevalling, terwijl ze nog borstvoeding gaf? En is Loïs eigenlijk van de trashtalk gedurende een wedstrijd?Het doel in Parijs is in ieder geval duidelijk.
