Dhruv
from Storytime with Shikha Hosted by Shikha
A little boy. A mountain. And a story I believed completely. When I was in Grade One, my dad told me about Dhruv—a boy who lived inside a mountain we passed every morning on the way to the school bus. Years later, I still remember him. In the first episode of Storytime with Shikha, I go back to that little mountain in Rajasthan, and to one of my earliest memories of discovering what a story can do to our imagination. Maybe we never stopped needing storytime. We just stopped calling it that.
