DRAW attention to the topic of the next visual aid （次のスライドの視覚資料のトピックについて、聞き手の注意を引きつける） - Next, I'll show you... - To get a better understanding of what's happening, let's look at.... - To find out what's going on with..., we need to examine... - To explain what happened, we need to talk about... - As the next slide/graph will show, the situation for... is very different. 2. INTRODUCE the visual aid （視覚資料に見出しを付けて紹介します。見出しは短くシンプルな名前の方が聞き手の記憶に残ります） 例：Annual Sales in 2012 - This graph here shows... - The chart here describes... - This table here illustrates... - The pie chart here compares... 3. DESCRIBE the visual aid （聞き手が、今何を見ているのか分かるように視覚資料を描写しましょう） - Here you can see... - As you can see here... - The blue line shows... - The horizontal axis shows... 4. POINT OUT the key points （キーポイントを指摘しましょう。それによって聞き手はなぜ今その視覚資料を見せられているか理解できます） - What's important here is... - What I'd like you to notice is... - What I'd like to point out here is... - There are a couple of things I'd like to point out. First of all,... - The reason I'm showing you this is to point out... 5. GIVE REASONS. Explain why this is important. （なぜそのスライドの情報が重要と考えているのか聞き手に説明しましょう） - The reasons for this are.... - One explanation for this is... - This might be due to... - Some of the reasons for this includes... 6. SUMMARIZE the most important information （何がそのスライドの中で最も重要な情報なのか要約しましょう） - What I'd like you to remember from this slide is... - What I'd like you to take away from this is... - What's important to remember here is... - Basically, what this all means is... ※単に視覚資料を映すだけではダメですし、また聞き手が正しくそのデータを理解できたり解釈できると期待してはいけません。情報を通して聞き手を案内して、そしてキーポイントを強調するのは話し手の責任です。そのように進めていきながら、それぞれのスライドについて聞き手が付いて来て、かつ聞き手自身のスピードで内容を理解できるようにしなければならないと言う事を忘れてはいけません。聞き手がちゃんと視覚資料を理解できているか確認するためにも聞き手を常に見ましょう。 ・Session 8 B-side 今回は、TOEICのラストにして最大のポイント、Part-7です。 Part5-6を急いで解いて、時間を残してきた甲斐があります。 時間があれば、解ける問題です。 広告や受付用紙のような文章は理解しやすいので、必ず解きましょう！ Part5－6で時間を使ってしまっていても、 諦めることなく、①設問をざっと読む。②本文の中から答えを探し出す。 を、繰り返していきましょう！！ ここでの頑張りがスコアに大きく影響しますので(^^ ・Session 8 C-side Pierre: Hey!
