Dan Turner is a businessman who specializes in the automotive industry. His strengths include growing sales volumes and profitability along with talent development. Besides automotive, Dan also owns Big D’s Roadhouse LLC. This company is a media company publishing newsletters dealing with everything from city news to wellness. They also do digital marketing and social media. Previous to becoming a businessman, Dan was a journalist. He was the first reporter hired by CNN in Mexico and covered the President Carlos Salinas. While in Mexico he also was a columnist for The News, an English daily newspaper based in Mexico City. It was there that he also did a morning sports-talk radio show. He also did the play-by-play for Julio Cesar Chavez boxing matches promoted by Don King on the English, national radio feeds in Mexico. Dan worked in New York City for Billboard Publications Inc., focused on live entertainment covering everything from the Rolling Stones in Giant Stadium to Woodstock where he won awards for his coverage of the event. Before getting into the media business, Dan was a professional wrestler for a number of years touring the world as the Canadian Heavyweight Champion. He started his career with the AWA and worked for the NWA (he held the NWA Canadian Tag-Team title as well), Pro Wrestling America, All Star Wrestling, Grand Prix Wrestling and CMLL. CMLL is the largest wrestling company in the world and based in Mexico City and controls the fabled Arena Mexico, which is the Cathedral of Lucha Libre. Dan was part of a tag-team called Los Animales and headlined many nights in the building including a huge Mascara contra Mascara night with two legends, Lizmark and Atlantis. The police shut the streets down for blocks around the arena that night. Riot police surround the ring for the epic event. Dan was always a heel in the wrestling business yet was one of the most sought after performers requested by charity events which he rarely turned down. Currently Dan is on a wellness journey and has lost over 80 pounds in the last several months as he works to reverse his Type 2 Diabetes.
