Diagnosis

This episode goes deep into the heart of the matter.  It goes deep into the heart of the Mathers as in Jerry Mathers.  As in Jerry Mathers  AKA the Beaver from the old time television show entitled "Leave it To Beaver".  People will tell you they know what's going on there but nobody really does.  Why a beaver?  Was it his ruthless cunning?  His ability to build while withstanding natures torrent?  Was it his fierce snarl?  No.  It was none of that.
Here is what the internet will tell you:  It was not until the finale of the television show Leave It To Beaver that the writers invented an explanation for the nickname.  As a young child, Beaver's brother Wally mispronounced Beaver's given name (Theodore) as "Tweeter" and this became "Beaver."   Mathers opined that after 6 years and 234 episodes, the writers could have come up with a better origin story.

And there you have it.  234 episodes.  It really makes you think.  It puts it all into perspective.  For me at least.  Who knows what you're thinking at this point.
