En un contexto de temor a una nueva crisis global tras el ataque de Estados Unidos e Israel a Irán el pasado 28 de febrero, este nuevo Diálogos FAES analiza las perspectivas de la economía mundial para 2026, las consecuencias económicas del conflicto y los posibles escenarios a corto y medio plazo. Manuel Balmaseda, director del Instituto Español de Banca y Finanzas de la Universidad CUNEF, y Javier Díaz Giménez, profesor del IESE Business School, conversan, moderados por el responsable de economía de FAES, Miguel Marín, sobre el impacto del bloqueo del Estrecho de Ormuz, la reacción de los bancos centrales y los riesgos para Europa, China y España.Los expertos describen este bloqueo como un auténtico “cisne negro”, llamado a encarecer de forma generalizada los precios de la energía, especialmente del petróleo y el gas, aunque subrayan las dudas sobre la capacidad de Irán para mantener la presión de forma prolongada. Comparan esta crisis con el shock derivado de la invasión de Ucrania y concluyen que, esta vez, la economía más expuesta es China, por su fuerte dependencia del enclave del Golfo, lo que podría tener consecuencias en su comportamiento futuro respecto a Taiwán.
