Joe Rizzo brings you baseball. In this Emergency Quick Hits episode, Riz & "The Dawg" Jeff Healy jumped on after a crazy weekend in baseball on and off the field. And Riz brought a foul mouth, so hide the kiddies for this one! Jacob deGrom hit the IL with forearm tightness and won't be eligible to return until July 26. Dawg is very concerned for the Mets' ace and, as a direct result, their otherwise dream season. The Yankees were bitten by the COVID bug and a slew of injuries, but the nameless replacements gave them a spark as they earned their first two wins over the first-place Red Sox after losing the first seven between the teams this season. Riz has a plan to make it continue, and if you have not heard it before, you're starting to hear the high-paid pundits taking his ideas to the forefront, namely the pursuit of Anthony Rizzo for the Bronx Bombers. Meanwhile, the Mets and Yankees both have endured incredibly bad losses recently, but both managed to come back and have equally good wins. There was a shooting outside Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. on July 17, and Dawg was able to shed more light on what the feelings were from people inside the stadium, per the account of a cousin who was there.
