Diamond Diehards: Ex-MLB Infielder Jeff Frye, SheGone Nation

Joe Rizzo brings you baseball. Riz & Jeff "The Dawg" Healy welcomed former MLB infielder Jeff Frye to Diamond Diehards. Frye had a nine-year career on the field, and has been working ever since as a player agent. He's found himself these days outing self-proclaiming hitting gurus and their unusual drills, many of them costing parents and players a pretty penny for the quirky instruction. Frye covered his careers on and off the field, and revealed the genesis of becoming the actual Certified Hitting Guru (that's his Instagram handle!). There was also some talk about the great Nomar Garciaparra, among other players, plus a recap of Frye's accomplishments on the field. Diehard Dads became a three-man segment for this one, as our guest joined Riz & Dawg with a good story about one of his sons. Dawg presented Veteran of the Day. It was Frye's good friend, Colonel (retired) J. Craig Flowers. Flowers served as a military intelligence officer, specializing in human intelligence. His 25 years in the US Army included a decade overseas, including three years in Morocco and 10 years in direct support of the special operations community.
