Diane Goble - Transition Guide Training

from Tell Me Your Story · host Richard Dugan

https://www.dianegoble.com/ In 1971, at age twenty-nine, I drowned during a white water river rafting accident and had a near-death experience (NDE). That experience had a profound transformational affect on my life. Since that time, my mission has been to help others overcome fear of death by revealing it is not an ending, but an important milestone along our soul journey that accelerates the evolution of consciousness among human beings. Read More about Diane Much of the knowledge I received during my journey beyond the veil was revealed on my original web site BeyondtheVeil.net (1998-2018) and remains available to spiritual seekers through the books I wrote. Shortly after my NDE, my life literally fell apart and it took me seven years to begin putting the pieces back together–and another seven years before I could verbalize my NDE experience. Learning to meditate as I was putting my life back together, opened my mind to explore the depth of my NDE, but there was no one I could talk to about it. In 1978, I returned to complete my formal education–putting myself through five years of college and grad school as a single parent of three children by cleaning houses, walking dogs, designing and selling T-shirts at swap meets, and typing grad students’ and professors’ papers. And of course, student loans that took me twenty years to pay off. A 94- year old lady whose daughter was paying me $5 an hour to visit with her mother and take her for a walk in her wheelchair three times a week because the daughter didn’t have time, confided in me that she wished her doctor would just give her that little blue pill that would let her go to sleep and never wake up. She awakened me to become an advocate for what became the Death With Dignity Act. I wrote an article ahout her and the little blue pill that was pulished in a journal, and continue to support the Compassion and Choices organization to allow everyone to make their own end of life decisions. I earned my Masters Degree in Community-Clinical Psychology from California State University-Long Beach in 1983. I struggled getting back into a business environment. My ideas were too far ahead of the current management styles and people are always reluctant to change. I became a teacher of stress management classes before most people, including doctors, realized what a problem stress was. Employers didn’t want to admit it was a problem, much less take responsibility. Insurance wouldn’t pay for it. My sister and I created an early version of a mind-body healing center in the late 1980s. We eperienced a lot of resistance. doctors were freaked out. I graduated from St. John’s University in Louisiana in 1996 with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Hypnotherapy. I became an Ordained Minister to be able to practice because, at that time, there was no licensing for hypnotherapists. I worked as a graphic artist and word processor to support my work as a spiritual teacher and counselor, past-life regression therapist, author and webmaster. As my personal spiritual practice deepened, I began writing more detailed information from my NDE that basically poured out of me at the same time the internet was developing to allow people access to the wide dissemination of infomation. I started a website and before I knew it, I was inundated with thousands of emails from people all over the world who wanted to talk to someone who “had been there.” Their questions allowed me to explore my NDE on deeper levels and opened up some interesting dialogs, which I included on my website and later in books.
