Dick Kay 1936-2021: Longtime Political Editor at NBC Chicago, Talk Show Host

For almost four decades, Dick Kay was the political editor at NBC 5 TV in Chicago, and after he retired, he hosted a talk show on WCPT Radio. Margaret Larkin interviewed him at WCPT more than ten years ago, where he talked about his career and why he liked doing talk radio. He was critical of how the news business and reporting changed over the years, and shared his opinions of corporate media. Dick Kay passed away in early May, and this interview is posted in his memory. He was also a Navy Veteran, and according to Rich Samuels, who was a friend of his and coworker at NBC 5, he went to Bradley University in Peoria on the GI Bill.
