Did David Rape Bathsheba?: interview with Dr. Carmen Imes

Did David Rape Bathsheba?: interview with Dr. Carmen Imes I have good news and bad news. The bad news is, that Dr. Brown had to cancel at the last min. The good news is Dr. Carmen Imes is always ready to talk theology In season and out of season. The subject matter Is admittedly sensitive and controversial, to say the least, fortunately for us Dr. Imes already walked through this theological minefield a few weeks ago when her Twitter post was trending. The subject matter we are covering today has to do with the nature of David and Bathsheba's relationship. Did Bathsheba seduce David In an act of consensual adultery, or did David abuse his power as king and rape Bathsheba? Though the subject matter is sensitive and rather dark, it is important for Christians to familiarize themselves with the debate as these sins seem to be ever-present In our culture today.
