Did German Scientists Just Prove EMS Helps Golfers Get Stronger?

from Health Research Digest with Leo and Eva · host Leo and Eva

Scientists at Germany’s Institute of Medical Physics, Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, tested 54 male amateur golfers aged 18-70 in a randomized controlled study. For 16 weeks, one group received supervised once-weekly 20-minute whole-body electromyostimulation. Researchers carefully measured maximum trunk strength, leg and hip strength, and lean body mass. The EMS group gained significantly more trunk strength (p<0.001), leg strength (p=0.001) and lean mass (p=0.034) than the control group, with near-perfect attendance and no serious issues. These measurable gains in strength and stability support a more powerful, controlled golf swing. Published in a peer-reviewed international journal, the clear results make the full findings worth reading.  https://oriems.fit/blogs/research-digest/once-weekly-ems-improves-golfers-strength-research
