Did Someone Say Cemetery?
from Trendy Lobotomy Podcast · host Tori Selznick and Krysti Adams
Send us Fan MailMalcom stuck around for this episode as well and has his own story this time! Krysti leads off by intruding into Tori’s usual genre by covering Graceland Cemetery in Chicago. This was established to alleviate the overcrowding of the cemeteries in the city proper. Many famous folks take their final rest at this locale. The Palmer masoleum and it’s feeling of dread and cold, the Wolff grave, and Dexter Grave’s grave with it’s now famous statue Eternal Silence (take our advice, Google it). Inez Clarke’s life size statue features in the stories as well. Tori covers Stull Cemetery 7 miles outside of Lawrence Kansas. This tiny village has a cemetery and a crumbling church (now a demolished church) which are the site of a gate of Hell. Welcome to Tropeland yet again folks. Also Tori fangirled with this one, featured in Supernatural “Swan Song.” #kidsaredicks yet again. Malcom covers Oweynagat, the “Cave of Cats” in Ireland. This is located in rural Ireland in Co. Roscommon. This is in a field and known as Rathcroghan which is a 5000 year old fissure that is the capital of Connact. Ogham stones adorn this cave stating “Fraech, son of Medb.” This is yet another “gate to hell.” Our Sources: Weird Illinois, Gracelandcemetery.org, Findagrave.com, The-line-up.com, Atlasobscura.com, Seekghosts.blogspot.com, Chicagohauntings.com, Chipublib.org, Questionable Knowledge Podcast, maps.roadtrippers.com, americanhauntingsink.com, Kansan.com, natgeo.com, irishcentral.com, wbur.org, rathcroghantours.comOur theme music: “Danse Macabre - Busy Strings" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/ Support our show on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/trendylobotomypodcast Find us at FB/Instagram @TrendyLobotomyPod and at Twitter @TrendyPod as well as our blog trendylobotomypodcast.blogspot.com Support the show
