Did Trump Just Bail Out Iran?

Trump is claiming a breakthrough deal with Iran: a ceasefire, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, ending the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports, oil moving again, and continued talks over Iran’s nuclear program. On the surface, that sounds like a win. But the reported terms raise serious concerns. If Iran gets sanctions relief, access to frozen assets, restored oil sales, and a chance to claim victory while offering only future nuclear negotiations, this may not be peace. It may be a bailout.
