The case resulted in a conviction for a lesser charge—obstructing or resisting a public officer—in November 2020. Additionally, in 2020, Morales was convicted of battery causing serious bodily injury and false imprisonment with violence. 8. Manuel Mejia Puente- As of April 2023, Mejia has been designated a gang member affiliated with the Partido Revolucionario Mexicano (PRM). Mejia’s criminal history includes a 2002 conviction for theft, a 2006 conviction for evading arrest or detention, and a 2006 conviction for aggravated robbery. Additionally, the subject was charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) in 2021. 9. Jorge Zerpa-Belancourt- (Tren de Aragua member) He has multiple tattoos, several of which are consistent with known symbols associated with the TDA gang. A review of Zerpa’s social media accounts revealed imagery suggestive of gang involvement, including displays of bulk cash, gang-related statements, firearms, and references to gang affiliation.
