Symptoms include the sudden or mild onset of shortness of breath, dizziness, heart palpitations, swelling, and chest pain. It is important to keep track of these symptoms and notify your healthcare provider. There are variety of tests to verify that a patient has pulmonary hypertension. Although there is not a cure, there are lifestyle changes, medications, and surgeries available to slow the progression and treat the symptoms.
