Die-Cons (Death Iconography)

Welcome and Thank you for listening in on the first official episode of DEATHinitely; the show that takes death seriously, so you don't have to. I'll be your host, Allison Danger; your internet death daddy; your deathspert; your resident research junkie that is on a quest to learn everything about death and pass that knowledge along to you in ten-piece nugget style meals for your ears. This episode's big focus is the iconography and symbolism associated with death. An ever-chaging dynamic mess of religious influence, culture and language that mixes to give us the hodgepodge of things that in some settings are completely innocuous, while in others mean DEATH! Dive in as Allison Danger (host) and Jordan Middlebrook (producer) discuss historic death symbols, memento mori, corvid birds and why the skull is the ultimate symbol of death.
