Die lewe is so onvoorspelbaar, nè? Ons word voortdurend, dag na dag … deur onvoorsiene uitdagings, konflik en onsekerheid gekonfronteer… jy weet mos waarvan ek praat! Nouja, sê my, hoe goed is jy toegerus om dit te hanteer?Die teorie is dat ons die hele tyd moet groei; dat ons vandag beter in staat moet wees om dinge te hanteer, as wat ons byvoorbeeld vyf jaar gelede was. As jy terugdink: het jy gegroei? Het jy meer volwasse geword? Is jy vandag beter toegerus om dinge te hanteer?Indien wel, mooi vir jou. Maar indien nie, moet jy jouself afvra … hoekom nie? Want God het 'n plan vir jou om te groei – nie net in krag en vasberadenheid nie, nie net in wysheid nie (alhoewel dit ongelooflik belangrik is), maar ook in nederigheid en in genade … tot jy die mens word, wat Hy wil hê jy moet wees. Hier staan dit in:Kolossense 1:28 Hóm verkondig ons deurdat ons alle mense met alle moontlike wysheid onderrig en leer, sodat ons elke mens tot geestelike volwassenheid in Christus kan bring.God se visie vir jou is dat jy moet groei om in Christus geestelik volwasse te word. Is dit ook jou visie? En indien wel, hoe gaan jy dit doen? Ontvang jy sy wysheid, sy raad, sy onderrig, sy Woord? Leef jy daarvolgens?Iemand het eenkeer gesê dat as ons God se visie vir ons lewens wil verstaan, ons ons eie lofpsalm aan Hom moet begin skryf. Ons moet nooit ophou om daardie psalm van ons te hersien nie, want God se plan is dat ons groei om in Christus geestelik volwasse te word. Dit is God se Woord.
