Diesel prices in Western Australia have surpassed pre-excise cut levels, reaching $3.26 per litre and exceeding the previous high of $3.22 from 31 March. Treasurer Jim Chalmers confirms the nationwide price increases at fuel bowsers across other cities. Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott has called for Australia to join US military operations against Iran, warning the country risks appearing weak, whilst the government maintains its commitment to defensive support only through Wedgetail aircraft and air-to-air missiles for the UAE.
