Diesel’s Hall of Fame Journey | Calgary News

Diesel, Sean Millington, just got his moment in the sun—officially enshrined in the Canadian Football Hall of Fame, joining a star-studded class during Friday’s big game. Once told he was done after 1993 training camp, he flipped the script by going in with one goal: to be the best running back in the CFL. Over 13 seasons with teams like Edmonton, B.C., Winnipeg, and Toronto, he amassed over 6,000 rushing yards, 87 touchdowns, two Grey Cups, and twice earned CFL Canadian of the Year. He also ranks fourth all-time in special teams tackles and holds single-game records for both Edmonton and B.C. Now walking among the legends he once watched on TV, Millington’s journey—from near-cut to Hall of Famer—is proof that belief and grit can rewrite your story.
