Difficult Conversations

from The Work On Purpose Podcast · host Kara-Sue Sweeney

Difficult conversations can be just that, difficult. So much so that many times we try to avoid having them altogether. We worry that we will hurt someone or that they'll become defensive or get so upset that they lose their tempers at us.  But these conversations are a part of life. If we're going to be in relationship with other people, we must acknowledge that it won't always be roses and sunshine. Sometimes there will be contention or uneasiness or just plain dissatisfaction with something that must be addressed. In this podcast episode we discuss four things you want to ensure you do whenever you have to have a difficult conversation. After listening, feel free to send me a note letting me know what you learned about having difficult conversations and how you plan to approach your next one.
