How do we respond when we don’t agree with the people in authority over us? Submission can be difficult—especially when we believe we know a better way. But Scripture teaches us that the way we respond to authority says something about our trust in God.In 1 Peter 2:11–13, Peter challenges believers to live differently from the world around them, maintain honorable conduct, and submit to human authority for the Lord’s sake. Biblical submission doesn’t mean blindly agreeing with everything—it means allowing our attitudes, words, and actions to reflect Christ even when submission is uncomfortable.This message, “Difficulty with Authority,” challenges us to examine how we respond to leadership, correction, rules, and decisions we don’t understand.
