Welcome to DIGIMPACT TALKS, a mini series of podcasts supported by Innovation Talks by Crowdpolicy.In this episode we will talk about Teaching & Learning.⁠DIGIMPACT.EU⁠ is a dynamic digital learning and innovation platform designed to empower students, academics, and professionals with the skills they need to thrive in the digital era.We are chating with Gabriela Viale Pereira, who is an Associate Professor for Information Systems at the University for Continuing Education Krems, where she serves as Deputy Head of the Department for E-Governance and Administration.About the Speaker:Gabriela Viale Pereira is Associate Professor for Information Systems at the University for Continuing Education Krems, where she serves as Deputy Head of the Department for E-Governance and Administration. She is also an Affiliated Professor in the Graduate Program in Business Administration at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), Brazil, and a Research Fellow at the Center for Technology in Government (CTG), University at Albany (SUNY). She holds a postdoctoral degree in Public Administration and Government (Getulio Vargas Foundation - FGV) and a doctoral degree in Administration (PUCRS). Her research focuses on digital government, smart governance, smart cities and communities, data-driven public administration, and the societal implications of emerging technologies. She has coordinated major international projects, including the Erasmus+ CAP4CITY initiative, and is currently the UWK’s Principal Investigator for the Digital Europe Project AISHA and the EIT HEI Project DIGIMPACT.EU, and researchers and member of the Scientific Board of the EU-funded AI4GOV Accelerate (AI4GOV-X) project. Gabriela has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in Information Systems and digital government and actively contributes to the international community through leadership roles in the Digital Government Society and IFIP Working Group 8.5, as well as expert engagements with the European Commission and its Joint Research Centre.
