Memory Verse: "‭‭The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy man will be put to forced labor" - Proverbs‬ ‭12:24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Bible Text: Proverbs‬ ‭22:29‬ ‭KJV‬‬ 29. Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; He shall not stand before mean men. INSPIRATION: Diligence is a very scarce commodity in contemporary times, and those who walk its path are often mocked and considered unwise, but it is still God's standard and a sure way to be successful. Diligence breeds excellence; excellence opens doors of opportunities. Excellence is self-advertising; it attracts the right patronage from kings. "Standing before kings," is not physical posturing but to offer services befitting of kings. Diligence means possessing the right skills that compel kings to seek your services. The monetised rewards of offering services to Kings can only be better imagined! Diligence is an offshoot of hardwork; it is a product of intentionality and deliberately considered choices. It is to put your brain to work. Like E. W Kenyon puts it, "Make your brain work, it will sweat, but it will improve; it will improve until you become the envy of those around." Nothing can stop anyone who puts their brain to work. Don't waste the precious deposits within you! Proverbs is filled with wise saying about diligence, "The hand of the diligent will rule" (Prov. 12: 24). If you're not ruling, interrogate the level of your diligence. "The desires of the diligent shall be satisfied (Prov. 13: 4 NIV). Satisfaction will only come from diligence! TODAY'S TAKE HOME: ‭‭Diligence is the tool to fit the puzzles in your life; it is your utility vehicle that conveys you through the corridors of great Kings where you can exchange your craft for amazing rewards. PRAYER: O Lord, please, teach my hands to war diligently; help me to embrace hard work in a smart way until excellence becomes the hallmark of all I do. Order my steps aright to kings and nobles, and help me to make the most of any opportunity or recommendation I get, in Jesus name.
