Dingler’s Hand Injury Halts Game | Detroit Tigers News

Dillon Dingler, Detroit’s All-Star catcher, exited Wednesday’s game after taking a 95 mph foul ball off his right hand — leaving a painful imprint near his thumb — forcing him to sit out the rest of the contest. Despite his best efforts to stay in, the injury was too much to ignore. The Tigers’ backup, Jake Rogers, stepped in and delivered a clutch home run in his first at-bat, extending the lead. Dingler’s absence is a blow — he’s leading the team in homers and RBIs, a Gold Glove winner, and just 27 — but the Tigers kept momentum alive. The severity of the injury remains unknown, but fans hope it’s minor and doesn’t sideline him for long. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
