She earned a DDS from the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico in Mexico City and earned a masters in education from the University of Houston. She later received a certificate in endodontics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Weisleder is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. She has been involved in academia since 1990 and has delivered numerous presentations both nationally and internationally. She is a member of the American Association of Endodontics and the American Dental Education Association. Her research on endodontic diagnosis and treatment of young permanent teeth has been published in leading dental journals..
