Dion George resigns as DA member

    The Democratic Alliance has acknowledged Dr Dion George’s resignation, stating that it was unfortunate that he has resigned before answering a pending disciplinary hearing that was going to investigate serious allegations levelled against him. George’s resignation comes after he was removed as minister in November at the DA’s request and replaced by party spokesperson Willie Aucamp. But what’s behind the party’s internal conflicts?
